A World at Prayer

WORD FOR THE DAY
Thursday, Apr. 10
www.gratefulness.org

"The world is holy. We are holy. All life is holy. Daily prayers are delivered on the lips of breaking waves, the whisperings of grasses, the shimmering of leaves."

-- Terry Tempest Williams
from Talking to God: Portrait of a World at Prayer (anthology)

Once we tap into the Oneness of Life, we cannot help but feel intricately connected to our fellow human beings, all of the animal kingdom and the plants which sustain our very lives.

Upon truly knowing this holiness, as a collective we will then act with reverence and respect for all life. When that critical mass of consciousness is reached, then our peaceful efforts will spread forth even more rapidly to all corners of the Earth.

Thank you for doing your Piece 4 Peace in holding this vision of world peace!

We are taught to share at an early age and reminded how important it is throughout our lives; therefore, sharing our desire for spreading peace around the world is truly being an apostle of peace. Remember back to Catholic school(!), for when you say "When that critical mass of consciousness is reached, then our peaceful efforts will spread forth even more rapidly to all corners of the Earth," it is as when you invite the Holy Spirit in, peace comes within and you are empowered to live peacefully and spread your peace to all. We should all keep the faith that we can make a difference. It is God-given that "peace be with you!"
